THE LAKE ROCKS SUP FESTIVAL
The SUP Alps Trophy racing series returns to Lake Faaker See. From May 9th to 12st, 2024, the Villach - Faaker See - Ossiacher See region will once again become THE hotspot for SUP fans in the Alps-Adriatic region.
Here you will find all the information you need if you want to start one of the 6 Stand Up Paddling races.
All races are carried out by the SUP Alps Trophy carried out and THE LAKE ROCKS is again part of the ICF World Ranking Series. Participants can therefore collect points for the SUP Alps Trophy annual ranking in the Kelag PRO and Sport Trap FUN Race and also points for the ICF World Ranking in the Kelag PRO and TECH Race.

Three spectacular settings for the races and the SUP Village.
Strand Nord 3 | 9583 Faak am See
On the 6000 m² sunbathing lawn directly at Lake Faaker See, a spacious festival and testival area will be created from Thursday to Sunday, THE LAKE ROCKS SUP Village.
With free entry present top brands such as Light, Fanatic or Starboard daily from 10:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m the latest boards and accessories for stand up paddling. And all visitors of THE LAKE ROCKS can try out the material on site and test it extensively.
The Testival is supplemented by numerous other exhibitors from the sports, health and leisure sectors.
The SUP Village is also where the race office is located for entering and issuing start numbers for all competitions. And all award ceremonies and riders meetings (except for the CITY Race) take place here.
The team from Strandcamping Gruber and our event DJs will provide the perfect Faaker See sound.
The following highlights of THE LAKE ROCKS also take place in the SUP Village:
- SUP test center with free supporting program (Fri. & Sat.)
- SUP Yoga with Beate Egger (Fri., 10:00 a.m. & 13:00 p.m.; Saturday, 09:00 a.m. & 13:00 p.m.)
- Villach beer after race parties with live music from “Why Cry Johnny” (Thursday, 18:00 p.m. – 22:00 p.m.), “Ringfire Gordon Band” and XXL barbecue grill (Fri., 18:00 p.m. – 22:00 p.m.) or “The Bandits” and paella party (Saturday, 18:00 p.m. – 22:00 p.m.)
- SPEED Race (Fri., 12:00 p.m. – 14:00 p.m.)
- Carinthian Sparkasse TEAM Race (Fri., 15:00 p.m. – 18:30 p.m.)

The Panorama Beach in Drobollach is Carinthia's largest free lake access and is open on Sunday ab 11:00 p.m. to the arena for the TECH Race at THE LAKE ROCKS.
Directly in front of the unique lake scenery with a view of the Mittagskogel mountain and with hundreds of visitors to the lido behind them, the athletes of the TECH Race have a unique race track to choose from.

Drau Promenade | 9500 Villach
The FreizeitBASE is the paddling and biking center right in Villach's old town and will be the urban “fan arena” for THE LAKE ROCKS 2024 for the second time.
Nestled between the old town, Congress Center Villach and two bridges, the Drau River will become the race track for the premiere of the CITY Race on Thursday.
Hundreds of visitors will follow the spectacular AIRSUP BX CHAMPIONSHIP directly on the river bank, on the adjacent Drau terraces and guest gardens and on the bridges of both Drau.

The countdown to THE LAKE ROCKS is on and registration for the races is open. Simply click on the respective button below and register online for the desired race in just a few steps.
Our young talents are particularly important to us, which is why there is no participation fee for all U16 athletes in all races.
ATTENTION: Early registration pays off! The first 200 registered athletes will receive the official THE LAKE ROCKS LYCRA free of charge with the start bag.
Board & paddle rental
As part of the ICF World Ranking Series, racing participants at THE LAKE ROCKS can once again use a rental service for top racing boards and paddles this year.
Union Paddlers, the official equipment partner of the International Canoe Federation, offers the possibility to book Starboard branded boards or Quickblade paddles online in advance.
The equipment will then be available in our SUP Village for the weekend.
